THE EPHESIANS PRAYERS
NEW - THE LORDS PRAYER
EPHESIANS 1:16-23 KJV
Cease not to give thanks for you ,
making mention of you in my prayers;
That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ,
the Father of glory, may give unto you
the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
The eyes of your understanding being enlightened;
that may know what is the hope of
his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
And what is the exceeding greatness of his power us-ward who
believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set
him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion,
and every name that is named,
not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be
the head over all things to the church,
Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
EPHESIANS 2:1-10 KJV
And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world,
according to the prince of the power of the air,
the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the
lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were
by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us
together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;
And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in
heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in
his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
For by grace are ye saved through faith;
and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.
For we are his workmanship,
created in Christ Jesus unto good work,
which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
EPHESIANS 3:14-21 KJV
For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be
strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye,
being rooted and grounded in love,
May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and
length, and depth, and height;
And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye
might be filled with all the fulness of God.
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages,
world without end. Amen.
EPHESIANS 6:10-18 KJV
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord,
and in the power of his might.
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to
stand against the wiles of the devil.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood,
but against principalities, against powers,
against the rulers of the darkness of this world,
against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God,
that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day,
and having done all, to stand.
Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth,
and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Above all, taking the shield of faith,
Where with ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit,
which is the word of God:
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching
There unto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him,
and given him a name which is above every name:
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven,
and things in earth, and things under the earth;
And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
HOW TO PRAY AS THE LORD SAID
Luke 18:1 (KJV)
18 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
Luke 18:1 (AMPC)
18 Also [Jesus] told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not to
[a]turn coward (faint, lose heart, and give up).
1 Thessalonians 5:17 (AKJV)
17 Pray without ceasing.
1 Thessalonians 5:17 (AMPC)
17 Be unceasing in prayer [praying perseveringly];
Ephesians 6:18-20 (AKJV)
18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
19 and for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly,
to make known the mystery of the gospel,
20 for which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly,
as I ought to speak.
Ephesians 6:18-20 (AMPC)
18 Pray at all times (on every occasion, in every season) in the Spirit, with all [manner of] prayer and entreaty. To that end keep alert and watch with strong purpose and perseverance, interceding in behalf of all the saints (God’s consecrated people).
19 And [pray] also for me, that [freedom of] utterance may be given me, that I may open my mouth to proclaim boldly the mystery of the good news (the Gospel),
20 For which I am an ambassador in a coupling chain [in prison.
Pray] that I may declare it boldly and courageously,
as I ought to do.
James 5:16 (AKJV)
16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
James 5:16 (AMPC)
16 Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses,
your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored
[to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].
Romans 8:26 (AKJV)
26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Romans 8:26 (AMPC)
26 So too the [Holy] Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness;
for we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf with
unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance.
1 Corinthians 8:2 (AKJV)
2 And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know.
1 Corinthians 8:2 (AMPC)
2 If anyone imagines that he has come to know and understand much [of divine things,
without love], he does not yet perceive and recognize and understand as strongly and clearly, nor has he become as intimately acquainted with anything as he ought or as is necessary.
PRAY THIS:
FATHER GOD,
I WANT TO KNOW,
I AM ASKING YOU, TEACH ME, SHOW ME,
WHAT I OUGHT TO KNOW, ABOUT WHAT TO PRAY FOR AND
ABOUT HOW TO PRAY. I ACKNOWLEDGE THERE IS SO MUCH,
THAT I DON'T KNOW, THAT I WANT TO KNOW,
AND I AM ASKING FOR KNOWLEDGE, FOR UNDERSTANDING, AND
FOR WISDOM, CONCERNING PRAYER.
IN JESUS' NAME, AMEN
Luke 11:1-4 (AKJV)
1 And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.
2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.
3 Give us day by day our daily bread.
4 And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.
Luke 11:1-4 (AMPC)
1 Then He was praying in a certain place; and when He stopped, one of His disciples said to Him, Lord, teach us to pray, [just] as John taught his disciples.
2 And He said to them, When you pray, say: Our Father Who is in heaven, hallowed be Your name, Your kingdom come. Your will be done [held holy and revered] on earth as it is in heaven.
3 Give us daily our bread [[a]food for the morrow].
4 And forgive us our sins, for we ourselves also forgive everyone who is indebted to us [who has offended us or done us wrong]. And bring us not into temptation but rescue us from evil.
Matthew 6:5-9. 10-15 (AKJV)
5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men.
Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask Him.
9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name.
Hebrews 4:16 (AKJV)
16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Matthew 6:10-15 (AKJV)
10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. (GOD'S WILL)
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
SAY THIS:
FATHER GOD,
I ASK YOU TO
FORGIVE ME OF MY DEBTS
AS I FORGIVE MY DEBTORS.
I FORGIVE THEM
NO MATTER WHAT THEY HAVE DONE TO ME.
I REFUSE TO HOLD A GRUDGE
AND NOT FORGIVE.
I CAN DO IT BY FAITH.
I RELEASE THEM NOW
FROM ALL OBLIGATIONS
CONCERNING THAT THING.
THEY OWE ME NOTHING
NO EXPLANATION
NO APOLOGY.
BY CHOICE I FORGIVE THEM,
I RELEASE THEM.
I ASK YOU FATHER,
TO FORGIVE THEM
AND DON'T HOLD THAT SIN AGAINST THEM.
IN JESUS' NAME
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Matthew 6:5-15 (AMPC)
5 Also when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by people.
Truly I tell you, they have their reward [a]in full already.
6 But when you pray, go into your [most] private room, and, closing the door, pray to your Father, Who is in secret; and your Father, Who sees in secret, will reward you in the open.
7 And when you pray, do not heap up phrases (multiply words, repeating the same ones over and over) as the Gentiles do, for they think they will be heard for their much speaking.
8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.
9 Pray, therefore, like this: Our Father Who is in heaven, hallowed (kept holy) be Your name.
10 Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven ([a]left, remitted, and let go of the debts, and have [b]given up resentment against) our debtors.
13 And lead (bring) us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
14 For if you forgive people their trespasses [their [c]reckless and willful sins, [d]leaving them, letting them go, and [e]giving up resentment], your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
15 But if you do not forgive others their trespasses [their [f]reckless and willful sins, [g]leaving them, letting them go, and [h]giving up resentment], neither will your Father forgive you your trespasses.
1 Peter 3:7 (AKJV)
7 Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life;
that your prayers be not hindered.
SAY THIS WITH ME;
MY FATHER
WHO IS IN HEAVEN,
HALLOWED HOLY BE YOUR NAME.
YOUR KINGDOM COME;
YOUR WILL BE DONE
IN THE EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN.
GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD.
WE BELIEVE WE RECEIVE.
WE THANK YOU FOR IT.
AND FORGIVE US
OUR DEBTS,
OUR SINS,
OUR TRESPASSES,
OUR MISTAKES.
AND WE WILLINGLY FORGIVE OTHERS
OF THEIR SINS,
THEIR MISTAKES, AND
THEIR TRESSPASSES AGAINST US.
AND LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION,
BUT DELIVER US
FROM IDOLATRY
AND FROM EVERY EVIL WORK.
FOR YOURS IS THE KINGDOM
YOURS IS ALL THE POWER, AND
YOUR IS THE GLORY
FOREVER
IN JESUS NAME
AMEM.
